Community Intelligence

A community requires high levels of quality of life and must be able to withstand changing situations. The U.S Intelligence Community is a network of 17 agencies within an executive branch which work both independently and collectively. They collect information that is used for conducting external affairs and also situations relating to national security. The 17 Intelligence Community members include among others the Air Force Intelligence, Homeland security, Department of State, Navy Intelligence, Central Intelligence Agency and Department of Energy to name a few. All these agencies work independently and at times in tandem to gather information which could be of national importance.

Advertisements are usually given out in various media for people to apply for various positions within the intelligence community. Most of these are really not field jobs and could be jobs that relate to analyzing the information that has been gathered by the field staff, carrying out translations of various documents, creating software and writing reports. Recruitments are for positions in any of the states or even worldwide if a person has the right aptitude for such jobs.
The Intelligence agencies often ask on people not to wait for advertisements, but to get in touch if they feel they are the right people for the job. One does not need to be a graduate to apply for such positions. Even if one is about to complete under graduation or graduation, the application process can be put in order. Many of the jobs are for Language specialists, Operational Officers and Technology experts. Any person having a good command of more than one language can fit in as a language specialist.

An intelligence agency is one whose main task is to collect information and use this information for national security purposes. Intelligence agencies provide information and analyze data which could be of national importance in context of security issues, inform of impending disasters and crisis, inform and work with military organizations at times of peace and war. Intelligence agencies are also involved with work relating to counter-terrorism and espionage. While discussing intelligence it is worth mentioning that security is branched out as security intelligence and foreign intelligence. Security intelligence is generally connected with threats to national security such as those coming from terrorism and espionage whereas foreign intelligence relates to collecting of information related to economic and political nature. Almost all countries of the world have intelligence agencies whose main task is information collection and analyzing the information collected. Among some of the intelligence agencies of the world are the C.I.A, Mossad, RAW, MI5and others. These agencies have thousands of staff who work both within the country and abroad.

There are many numbers of intelligence jobs for the asking. All that is required is the right aptitude. Jobs related to intelligence are in such areas as computers, marketing, economics, engineering, graphic design, linguistics and others. These are challenging jobs and provide a deep sense of job satisfaction. There are not too many study options in terms of acquiring degrees related to intelligence. On the contrary intelligence agencies make use of ones academic background to convert these into intelligence job opportunities.
