Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, Inc. recently launched a pre-literacy pilot program in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with an $8,500 grant from the Verizon Foundation. The three-session program provides training in pre-literacy skills to parents of preschoolers at the Cesar Batalla School. The workshops are in English or Spanish and includes hands-on modeling of pre-literacy games and activities for three and four year olds.
